जिला मुख्यालय स्थित इंडोर स्टेडियम में 20 से 24 सितंबर तक पांच दिवसीय बिहार राज्य जूनियर अंडर – 19 रैंकिंग बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट होना तय हुआ है. जिसमें राज्य के हरेक जिले से 20 सितंबर को होने जा रहे इस जूनियर अंडर – 19 रैंकिंग बैडमिंटन चैंपियनशिप में करीब 125 से ज्यादा बालक एकल, बालक युगल, बालिका एकल, बालिका युगल व मिश्रित युगल वर्ग के प्रतिभागी खिलाड़ी भाग लेंगे. जो कि इस टूर्नामेंट में रैंकिंग के आधार पर आगे चलकर अपने राज्य का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे.
इसकी जानकारी देते हुए अररिया डिस्ट्रिक्ट बैडमिंटन एसोसिएशन (एडीबीए) के अध्यक्ष गौतम कुमार साह ने बताया कि यह राज्यस्तरीय बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट जिले में पहली बार होने जा रही है. हालांकि विगत मार्च महीने में एडीबीए ने बिहार बैडमिंटन एसोसिएशन (बीबीए) के बैनर तले जिले में पहली बार डिस्ट्रिक्ट बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट करा चुकी है. जो कि पूर्णतः सफल रही है.
अब बीबीए के द्वारा जिले में एडीबीए के तहत राज्यस्तरीय पांच दिवसीय बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट होने का कैलेंडर जारी किया गया है. इसी सिलसिले में रविवार को जोगबनी स्थित जेनिथ पब्लिक स्कूल के निदेशक खुर्शीद खान के नेतृत्व में उनके कार्यालय कक्ष में इस टूर्नामेंट को सफल बनाने के लिए एक बैठक आयोजित की गई. जिसमें मुख्य रुप से आने वाले सूबे के अन्य जिलों से बालक-बालिका वर्ग के प्रतिभागी खिलाड़ी को ठहरने के साथ-साथ उचित खान-पान की व्यवस्था की गयी है. जिसमें जिला मुख्यालय स्थित तेरापंथ भवन अथिति सदन में ठहरने की उचित व्यवस्था के साथ भोजनालय की व्यवस्था इंडोर स्टेडियम परिसर में की गई है.
